Yes. You can find duplicate files with the Duplicate File Finder on shared folders, if you have the necessary permissions.

On folders you own

You can search and delete duplicate files directly.

On folders shared with you

You can search for duplicates, but you can only delete them if the folder owner has granted you Modify permissions. If you have read-only access, you will be able to view duplicates but not delete them.
